Medical Tourism: Why Your Hospital Needs a Medical Tourism Strategy
Webinar
February 9, 2010 Time: 12 - 1 pm CENTRAL TIME
Register for this event online: February 9, 2010 ($225 per line)
Program Description
Top tier U.S. hospitals are developing strategies to tap into medical tourism's explosive growth, both as an offensive strategy and as a defensive strategy. Domestic hospitals, like the Cleveland Clinic, are partnering to build hospitals in Abu Dhabi and other medical tourism destinations. Services usually sought by "travelers" include both simple and complex procedures, including plastic surgery, joint (hip/knee) replacement, cardiac surgery, and cancer treatments. Whether your hospital is a community hospital or a large teaching hospital, you should consider developing a medical tourism strategy of your own, and this webinar will help you do that.
Program Topics
- The definition of medical tourism - outbound, inbound and domestic
- The scope, scale and growth
- Factors driving the growth - it's not just price!
- What U.S. health care providers can learn about medical tourism from the auto industry
- Should your hospital have a medical tourism strategy?
