Regulatory -- State Boards and Commissions
Wisconsin Board of Nursing
The Board is created under chapter 441 of the Wisconsin statutes. You can read the statute here. There are also administrative rules that apply to the practice of nursing. They can be found here.
The Board is created under the Structure of the Executive Branch. All positions are appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate. The board consists of five currently-licensed registered nurses, two currently-licensed practical nurses and two public members.

The Board meets eight times per year.
