Substance Use Disorders Management Boot Camp a Success
The Substance Use Disorders Management Boot Camp held Sept. 15-16 was a success! A group of about 50 doctors, nurses, behavioral health and peer support specialists, and other providers from across Wisconsin convened at the Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake, WI for discussion and learning about the management of substance use disorders.
Over two days, attendees participated in case-based and interactive didactic content to hone their skills and increase confidence in treating patients with issues related to unhealthy substance use. The bootcamp provided an opportunity for a varied group of providers, many from rural parts of Wisconsin, to come together to share experiences, develop competencies and forge new partnerships in the shared effort of improving the treatment and care of patients throughout the state.
