The Wisconsin Hospitals State PAC & Conduit continues its strong fundraising campaign with a total of $278,205 contributed to-date by 192 individuals. That is 82% of its goal of raising $340,000 and 61% of its goal of 315 individual contributors in 2022.

WHA Weighs in on Board of Nursing Proposal to Eliminate Licensure Step
The Wisconsin Board of Nursing (BON) was briefed at their Aug. 11 meeting on an opportunity to eliminate a step in the licensing process that is causing bottlenecks for new grad nurses. DSPS Secretary-designee Dan Hereth asked the BON to eliminate the administrative rule that requires the board to approve applicants before they can take their NCLEX.

2022 Quality Report Demonstrates Continued Commitment to High Quality Health Care in Wisconsin
Wisconsin’s hospitals continue to score high marks for quality according to WHA’s 2022 Quality Report released this week. Among other metrics, the number of hospitals receiving four- or five-star ratings by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) overall star ratings program exceeds the national average by over 20 percentage points.
