The WHA Foundation presented four scholarships to future health care professionals at the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) State Leadership Conference for middle and high schoolers in Wisconsin Dells on April 15. So Many Options seeks to address Wisconsin’s health care workforce shortage challenge by promoting the variety of health care career opportunities to young people.

On April 10, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) introduced its 2025 proposed inpatient prospective payment system (IPPS) rule. WHA will analyze the full more-than 1,900-page rule in the coming weeks and prepare comments in advance of the June 10 comment deadline.

The WHA Foundation is once again offering scholarships to WHA member hospitals, allowing them to designate an interdisciplinary team to participate in clinical simulation training focused on stroke, sepsis/septic shock or high-risk OB delivery. This year the WHA Foundation has an agreement with the Gundersen Health System Integrated Center for Education (ICE) to provide their upgraded facilities and equipment to scholarship recipients.
