Virtual Lunch and Learn to Focus on Substance Use Disorder Clinical Support

The Wisconsin Rural Health & Substance Use Clinical Support (RHeSUS) Program is offering a lunch and learn educational event on Substance Use Disorder Clinical Support on April 26.
 
The free virtual session will highlight ways to improve access to treatment and care for people struggling with opioid use and alcohol use disorders in rural Wisconsin. It is intended for substance use disorder and opioid use disorder physicians and provider champions in emergency department and primary care settings as well as quality and clinical teams and anyone who acts as a change agent in this area for a hospital or health system.

Substance use and related issues have increased dramatically in Wisconsin, including heavy alcohol consumption, opioid overdose mortality and cases involving methamphetamine, to name a few.
 
WHA and partners from the UW-Madison Department of Family Medicine and Community Health will review provider support resources, upcoming training and education opportunities and describe how to obtain free continuing education credits.
