Providing education and support for health care professionals who work with individuals dealing with substance use disorders is crucial, especially in rural areas where access to resources might be limited. Substance use disorders require a multidisciplinary approach and involving various types of health care providers and support personnel ensures a holistic and comprehensive approach to treatment and care.
For that reason, the RHeSUS Lunch and Learn series is designed to engage a diverse range of professionals. By including MDs/DOs, advanced practice practitioners, social workers, behavioral health providers, peer recovery service providers and others, we're aiming to create a rich learning environment where different perspectives and expertise can be shared and integrated to better serve individuals struggling with substance use disorders in rural Wisconsin.
