Christian Moran

Senior Vice President, Finance & Payment

Christian Moran joined the Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA) in June 2025 and currently serves as the association’s Senior Vice President of Finance & Payment. In this role, he leads, implements and executes strategies and programs to ensure WHA is positioned for fiscal sustainability in the changing health care and regulatory environment, while serving as a subject matter expert on issues impacting hospital and health systems finance and revenue cycle. Prior to joining WHA, Christian served in multiple roles within the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) Medicaid program, as well as working in the state legislature, including on the influential Joint Finance Committee. Most recently, Christian was Director of the Bureau of Programs and Policy at DHS, where he oversaw strategic direction and overall management of Medicaid managed care programs spanning both acute and long-term care. Christian holds a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s La Follette School of Public Affairs and a Master’s in Media Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
