Vernon Memorial Healthcare (VMH) identified a need for an additional support group for women in our community. With collaboration from the VMH Behavioral Health team and our community members, a group was formed. The purpose of this women’s group is to promote self-esteem, worthiness, and overall well-being in women over the age of 50 who need social support. The goal was to facilitate specific activities that increase opportunities for meaningful interactions, engagement, sharing information, and learning from others to promote social interactions and socialization.
