Building a Safety Culture

Building a Safety Culture in healthcare transforms an organization by replacing blame with psychological safety, ensuring staff feel empowered to report events and collaborate transparently to prevent harm.
Building a Culture of Safety presentation explores practical strategies for strengthening patient safety by creating an environment where communication, teamwork, leadership, and organizational learning are valued. It highlights key principles of a strong safety culture, along with tools for assessing culture, learning from events, supporting a just culture, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

In celebration of National Healthcare Quality Week, recognized annually by the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ), the WHA Quality Team is pleased to offer this complimentary educational webinar presented by our valued WHA corporate members, MedPro Group. This session will provide practical insights, expert perspectives, and actionable strategies to support healthcare quality, patient safety, risk management, and performance improvement efforts across Wisconsin hospitals and health systems. As we recognize and celebrate the professionals who advance quality and safety every day, we also want to acknowledge the important contributions of both NAHQ and the Wisconsin Association for Healthcare Quality (WAHQ) in supporting the healthcare quality profession. We encourage quality leaders, patient safety professionals, clinicians, and healthcare executives to join us for these free learning opportunities.  Please share throughout your organization as appropriate.
