WHA Foundation Utilized Simulation Lab Expands
The Gundersen Health System Integrated Center for Education Simulation Lab has grown.
At a recent ribbon cutting ceremony, the Integrated Center for Education (ICE) in La Crosse unveiled its lab expansion, which includes three inpatient rooms that will help certify all staff at Gundersen with basic or advanced life support courses. In addition to the staff at Gundersen, this lab will continue to support the scholarship recipients of the annual WHA Foundation Clinical Simulation Lab funding initiative. This program provides scholarship funding to support WHA hospital members’ participation in lab experiences. Hospital members who visit ICE participate in labs centered around sepsis/septic shock, stroke and high-risk OB. These focus areas are decided upon by a collaboration between the WHA Foundation and WHA’s quality department.
For more information, contact WHA Foundation Director Leigh Ann S. Larson.
