Brian Competente accepted the role of Vice President & Privacy Officer at the Wisconsin Hospital Association Information Center (WHAIC) after the departure of Jennifer Mueller. His first day in this position was July 22.
Competente has been with WHAIC for 20 years, most recently holding the position of director of operations for the past eight years. When asked about his goals in this new position, Brian said, "My focus is to empower health care stakeholders in Wisconsin to transform data into actionable insights, facilitating timely and reliable decision-making. Through the provision of data sets, tools, reports and analytic services, WHAIC assists health care providers and patients, ensuring that customers derive maximum value from Wisconsin's health care data."
Before his time with WHAIC, Competente worked at Post Communications, an email marketing company in San Francisco for three years as a QA Engineer.
