Now Hiring: Senior Director, Medicaid & Payer Reimbursement Policy
WHA is seeking a Senior Director, Medicaid & Payer Reimbursement Policy to join our team. This full-time leadership role will be responsible for developing and directing strategies, analyses and policy proposals related to Medicaid coverage, hospital and health system reimbursement and managed care organization accountability.
This position is responsible for monitoring Medicaid program activity, engaging with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) and leading WHA’s response to proposed federal and state regulations. The Senior Director, Medicaid & Payer Reimbursement Policy will also support WHA members by serving as a liaison to state agencies, including the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance and the Worker’s Compensation Advisory Council, and providing expertise on legislation and regulations affecting Medicaid, commercial payers and price transparency initiatives.
Ideal candidates must have a working knowledge of hospital reimbursement methodologies and related issues. A bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for candidates holding a master’s degree in public policy, health care, political science, economics or business. Familiarity with Medicaid and hospital reimbursement methodologies is essential. Candidates must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to manage multiple high-priority issues and a strategic mindset aligned with the needs of WHA’s diverse membership.
This position is based in-office with potential hybrid work flexibility in the future. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
