WHA is thrilled to announce Jonathan Martin, politics bureau chief and senior political columnist at POLITICO, as the keynote speaker for 2026 Advocacy Day. WHA’s annual Advocacy Day will be held on Wednesday, February 25 at Monona Terrace in Madison. There is no cost to attend Advocacy Day, but pre-registration is required. With 724 participants already registered and less than four weeks remaining, space is filling quickly.

A highly respected political journalist, Jonathan Martin provides sought-after coverage and regularly drives the news by delivering the inside story from the White House and Capitol Hill to the campaign trail well beyond the beltway. Martin is among the most trusted reporters in the U.S. with deep connections to the political leaders, power players and movers and shakers in Washington, D.C. and across the country. He is a contributor to NBC's Meet the Press, and his work has been featured in The New Republic, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal and more.

In addition, the day’s agenda will feature a great lineup of speakers, including the popular legislative panel discussion, followed by a luncheon keynote address from Gov. Tony Evers (invited).

The highlight of Advocacy Day is always the hundreds of attendees who take what they’ve learned during the day and then meet with their legislators in the state capitol in the afternoon. Advocacy Day is one of the greatest opportunities hospital employees, trustees and volunteers have to make an important, visible impact at the state capitol.
