Registration Now Open for the 2025 WHA Health Care Leadership Academy

“This program was more impactful than my MBA.”
“Being a graduate of this program has motivated me to earn my doctorate.”
“2 years after graduation, I still meet with the people in my class to talk about current challenges and successes. I get my best ideas from this group.”

These quotes, from graduates of the WHA Health Care Leadership Academy, are testimonials to the impact and value of this program. It is because of these positive experiences and outcomes that the Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA) will be offering this certificate program in 2025, marking its fourth year. The academy is once again available through the partnership between the Wisconsin School of Business Center for Professional & Executive Development (CPED) and WHA.

Health care continues to operate in a state of constant change. With significant future changes on the horizon, the continued need to build resilient and capable health care leaders with the skills to successfully navigate the complexities and opportunities of the future of health care is vital. Hospital leaders have a particular need to understand the “business of health care” so they can contribute in more meaningful ways to improve patient care, cost management and effective service delivery.

The 2025 WHA Health Care Leadership Academy is for clinician and non-clinician staff and is targeted toward two groups of people within WHA member hospitals:

  • Leadership staff who aspire to promote into the C-Suite
  • Newer C-Suite leaders who want to continue to be promoted within the hospital.
