WHA Sponsors WisconsinEye 2024 Campaign Coverage

WHA and the Hospitals Education & Advocacy Team (HEAT) unveiled an Elections 2024 web page with resources to promote voter awareness as the November 5 election draws near.

All the resources can be found on the WHA website at www.wha.org/elections, and includes:

  • Where voters can register to vote, request an absentee ballot and view a sample of their ballot.
  • Information to engage in health care advocacy through HEAT or the Wisconsin Hospitals State PAC & Conduit.
  • Link to WisconsinEye’s candidate interview videos where voters can learn where candidates stand on health care and other issues.
WHA is again a proud sponsor of WisconsinEye’s (WisEye) non-partisan Campaign 2024 coverage, which includes the production of informative interviews of candidates across the state. The interviews include questions on various topics, including health care, posed by Lisa Pugh, host of WisEye’s Newsmakers podcast. With health care a major issue area in the upcoming elections, Pugh has been asking candidates about the need for prioritizing hospital support in the next biennial state budget, as well as their ideas on helping hospitals meet the workforce challenges they face.

“This kind of campaign coverage can really help people understand the choices they have when they vote,” WHA President and CEO Eric Borgerding said. “Helping WisconsinEye with this campaign is another way WHA advances sound health care policy—by letting people get a good look at who’s running to represent them in Madison and Washington, D.C.”

In addition to the information above, please see the following list of important Wisconsin voter deadlines:

  • Primary Election: August 13
  • Deadline to Register to Vote: October 16
  • Deadline to Request an Absentee Ballot: October 31
  • General Election: November 5
