Thank you for a successful Rural Health Conference!
Thank you to all who attended the 2025 Wisconsin Rural Health Conference in Wisconsin Dells. The successful event was attended by 300+ WHA members. The conference started with the annual golf outing, this year at Wild Rock Golf Course, followed by a welcome reception. There, WHA members had the opportunity to network with one another and start to visit the record number 67 exhibitors.
Day one covered the current realities and probable future climate of the health care industry by health care futurist and economist Nate Kaufman. President and CEO of the Wisconsin Hospital Association Eric Borgerding and Executive Director of the Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative Tim Size presented their annual message on the current state of health care in Wisconsin. The day ended with a variety of breakout sessions.
Day two included speaker Brian Uridge discussing strategies to reduce workplace violence and strengthen safety and security in care settings. The conference ended with Dr. Katherine Meese's presentation on how rehumanizing health care work can help leaders support and retain their teams.
