Kari Hofer

Vice President, External Affairs

Kari Hofer joined the Wisconsin Hospital Association in February 2018 as the Vice President of Advocacy and currently serves as the Vice President of External Affairs. Her role integrates WHA’s government relations, communications, advocacy, and other external relations. Her primary responsibilities include leading WHA’s strategic communications operations, including the Valued Voice newsletter, WHA annual reports, and digital and social media, managing WHA’s grassroots and political advocacy, including WHA's Hospitals Education Advocacy Team (HEAT) program, the Wisconsin Hospitals Political Action Committee (PAC) & Conduit, and the Healthy Wisconsin Alliance. Kari spent the first decade of her career fundraising for various political campaigns and committees. Immediately prior to joining WHA, Kari served as the Executive Director of WMC Foundation, a nonprofit entity of Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC). She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and earned her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in 2015.
