Increasing Nursing Opportunities for the Chippewa Valley

Marshfield Medical Center-Eau Claire (MMC-Eau Claire) has been a key player in growing and developing the healthcare workforce of the Chippewa Valley. Earlier this year, a neighboring healthcare facility shut its doors, leaving not only patients but also healthcare workers and students wondering what was next for them. MMC-Eau Claire recognized how crucial it is that these students get the experience they need before heading into the workforce, and therefore increased nursing clinicals positions available. In addition, MMC-Eau Claire added more nursing intern and nurse tech positions to provide flexible working options for students who are still in school. MMC-Eau Claire also added LPN positions to the acute care and ambulatory areas. This provided more LPNs additional healthcare experience while completing their LPN to RN degree, making it possible for them to grow and further their careers.
