Less Than Three Weeks Until Advocacy Day; Registration, Webinar and Legislative Visits Encouraged
Advocacy Day is right around the corner with less than three weeks until nearly 1,000 grassroots advocates gather in Madison for a day of learning and advocating on important health care issues facing our state.

This year's event will be held at the Monona Terrace in Madison on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, and will feature American Hospital Association president Rick Pollack in conversation with Wisconsin Hospital Association President and CEO Eric Borgerding. Additionally, WHA will have an outstanding legislative panel discussing relevant health care policy topics, as well as an issues briefing to prepare attendees for their visits with legislators.
There is no cost to attend Advocacy Day, but pre-registration is required. Register here.
Pre-Advocacy Day Webinar
To prepare advocates for Advocacy Day, WHA staff will hold a Pre-Advocacy Day Webinar on Wednesday, March 13 at 1 p.m. This one-hour webinar will provide an overview of how legislative visits work, logistics of visiting the State Capitol and why these visits are important now more than ever.
The webinar will be recorded and emailed to all registered attendees. Attend this live webinar to ask your questions and prepare for your legislative visits. Register here.
Legislative Visits
WHA would like to remind advocates to sign up for the grassroots legislative visits as part of Advocacy Day. These visits are an opportunity to directly connect with your state lawmakers on health care issues and share your experiences in your hospital or health system.
All legislative visits will take place at the State Capitol at 2:15 p.m. and 3 p.m., following the Advocacy Day program at the Monona Terrace. Transportation is provided. WHA staff will schedule all legislative visits based on individual’s home address.
Contact WHA’s Maria Stuessy at mstuessy@wha.org to sign up for a legislative visit.
