Gov. Evers Celebrates Wisconsin Hospitals in National Hospital Week Proclamation
In recognition of National Hospital Week, May 12-18, 2024, Gov. Tony Evers has issued a proclamation that recognizes and celebrates the contributions of Wisconsin hospitals and health systems to the communities they serve.
Evers’ proclamation lauds Wisconsin hospitals for providing “accessible, compassionate, and high-quality healthcare services to the state’s residents every day of every year, creating opportunities for Wisconsinites to heal from illness or injury and live their best, fullest, and healthiest lives.”
The proclamation goes on to underscore how Wisconsin hospitals are significant drivers of the state’s economy, leading the way in health care quality, and act as a crucial safety net for the communities they serve, providing nearly $2 billion in community benefits and charity care annually.
