CMS Webinar on 2025 Hospital Price Transparency Requirements, Recording Available
On Oct. 21, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) hosted an important webinar outlining new hospital price transparency requirements that go into effect Jan. 1, 2025. The new requirements incorporate additional elements into the standard machine-readable format, including estimated allowed amounts and information on modifiers and prescription drugs. CMS provides information about encoding these new elements into hospital machine readable files.
The webinar recording and additional materials that might be helpful for your hospital as you prepare for these changes to your machine-readable files are now available on WHA.org.
