Through his decades of research and experience as an ICU physician, Dr. Orsini has mastered the key elements required to navigate through difficult conversations in the most effective and compassionate manner. This presentation teaches the communication skills necessary to positively influence challenging situations encountered daily. Key takeaways include:

• Learning how to use compassionate communication to build trusting relationships quickly.

Leadership and Wellbeing

Dr. Agarwal developed the Scholars of Wellness program at Northwestern Medicine, which was spotlighted by the American Medical Association for its results in decreasing physician burnout among the majority of participants and increasing comfort in communicating with leadership to drive achievable, actionable change. Dr. Agarwal also co-hosts the Anatomy of an Everyday Leader podcast series, exploring “What Does it Mean to Lead?” The podcast discusses leadership among teams of all types at Northwestern Medicine and leadership strategies for empowering teams to find fulfillment in their work, add value to their teams and feel valued.
