Supporting the growth of the health care workforce in Wisconsin is vital to the future of Wisconsin and its residents. Recognizing the need to expand the health care workforce, the WHA Foundation Board of Directors approved a new funding arm for existing Wisconsin HOSA chapters to assist them with their chapter activities, including educational programming, competitions and the associated costs related to competitions (travel, supplies, etc.).
HOSA is a student organization that provides members with the opportunity to explore health care career options and experiences, and the routes they can take to embark on their professional pathway. By fostering early interest in health care professions, the WHA Foundation, in partnership with local hospitals, is investing in Wisconsin’s future health care workforce to ensure Wisconsin has the skilled, compassionate caregivers needed to meet the growing demand for health care.
“This support is important for the overall mission of the Foundation to address Wisconsin’s health care workforce needs,” said WHA Foundation Executive Director Leigh Ann Larson. “Wisconsin HOSA continues to be an important partner of WHA and the WHA Foundation.”
Congratulations to these schools and their HOSA chapters for earning grant funding for the 2025/2026 school year.
