Wisconsin’s Licensing Agency to Launch New Online Platform
Online system will go live May 16, following a two-week blackout period
Starting May 16, 2022, an online platform, LicensE, will replace paper, faxed and emailed applications for 72 Wisconsin health care occupational licenses, according to an April 1, 2022,
press release from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS).
DSPS is implementing a blackout period associated with the transition to LicensE and will accept no new initial applications for the 72 license types from 12 p.m. on April 29 through 11:59 p.m. on May 15. In its press release, DSPS notes, “The backout period is a critical step to ensuring the successful launch of this new system.”
DSPS will continue to complete processing on current applications awaiting decisions during the blackout period.
