In recognition of National Hospital Week May 8-14, Gov. Tony Evers has issued a
proclamation that recognizes and celebrates the contributions of Wisconsin hospitals and health systems to the communities they serve.
Evers’ proclamation lauds the state’s hospitals for providing “accessible, compassionate, and expert healthcare services to Wisconsinites every day of the year, creating opportunities for folks to heal from illness or injury and live their healthiest lives.”
The proclamation goes on to underscore the many ways Wisconsin hospitals keep their communities safe and healthy, making specific reference to the response by hospital frontline workers to repeated surges of COVID-19. The document also cites the important role hospitals and health systems across the state play in the economic vibrancy and quality of life of their communities.
