Heather Scambler, RHIA, CPC-A joined the WHA Information Center on Aug. 1, 2022 as program specialist. In her role, she will be primarily responsible for facilitating the collection of survey data and other information from WHAIC customers. This includes monitoring, ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of the data/information received (including claims data) and assisting WHAIC with other initiatives.
Heather graduated from UW Milwaukee in May 1996. She received her bachelor’s degree in health information management. Heather’s work experience includes time at Cerner Corporation, Catholic Health Initiatives and most recently, at Rogers Behavioral Health as a health information supervisor. Heather currently lives in Ocononomoc, WI and enjoys spending time with family and friends, being a foodie and traveling.
“When I began my career, the electronic health record was the latest and greatest technology for health information. Now, the technology has moved far beyond the electronic record to capturing Big Data, and I am excited to be a part of this important time,” said Scambler.
