WHA Physician Improvement Advisor Shares Resources on Substance Use Disorder and Stigma
Opioid deaths in the U.S. are on track to top 100,000 this year and the WHA quality team has been very active in filling the needed gaps in this space. In collaboration with the Superior Health Quality Alliance, WHA Physician Improvement Advisor Dr. Bobby Redwood has been training providers on initiating medications for opioid use disorder and in addressing substance use disorder stigma among providers. The stigma awareness work is particularly exciting as we have paired up with the Wisconsin Voices for Recovery Project and put out a podcast on the topic.
