Register Today for the 2025 WHA Health Care Leadership Academy – The Business of Healthcare
One of the most popular modules in the WHA Health Care Leadership Academy is “The Business of Healthcare: Leadership, Strategy, and Understanding the Business.” Program instructors Adam J. Bock MBA, PhD, and Ann Martel guide the group through the economic pressures in the health care industry and the responses to these pressures by health care organizations. The importance of the relationship between operating results and the financial health of the health care organization is also explored. In addition, the group is introduced to the economics of managing the cost structure and revenue function of the operating budget in different payment environments (fee-for service, bundled, and capitated.) The 2025 WHA Health Care Leadership Academy is for clinician and non-clinician staff and is targeted toward two groups of people within WHA member hospitals:
- Leadership staff who aspire to promote into the C-Suite
- Newer C-Suite leaders who want to continue to be promoted within the hospital.
