Fast Forward Grants an Opportunity to Leverage Health Care Career Pathways
New Application Deadline: 3 p.m. Feb. 28, 2023
The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) has extended the timeline for Fast Forward grant applications to Feb. 28. Wisconsin Fast Forward matching grants are open to all industries and may provide hospitals and health systems an opportunity to leverage an advantage not all industries have: visible and supported career pathways that lead to increased pay in high-demand fields.

The objective of the Wisconsin Fast Forward (WFF) standard grant program is to award funds to businesses from all Wisconsin industry sectors that reimburse the costs of customized occupational training for unemployed, underemployed and incumbent workers. The customized, business-driven training will qualify workers for full-time employment, higher level employment or increased wages. Grant awards range from $5,000 to $400,000 per grantee. DWD is making $2 million available for this round of funding.
Grant applications can be found here. Contact WHA Senior Vice President of Workforce and Clinical Practice Ann Zenk if you have questions about Fast Forward or other opportunities to grow Wisconsin’s health care workforce.
