Dr. Redwood Leads Sepsis Town Hall Discussion
WHA hosted a sepsis town hall event on April 15. This virtual event was a live one-hour interactive question-and-answer session led by Dr. Bobby Redwood, WHA physician quality improvement advisor. Dr. Redwood answered questions on sepsis updates on evidence-informed practices, SEP-1 core measures, forming a sepsis committee, and provider education. Hospital leaders, quality professionals and providers participated in this event.
This Town Hall was in addition to the sepsis education mini-series that is currently available on demand through the WHA Quality Center. These short, self-paced videos developed by Dr. Redwood include offerings on Sepsis 101 - The Basics, The SEP-1 Core Measure, Sepsis 1 vs. Sepsis 3, Multidrug Resistant Organisms in Sepsis, Septic Shock and more. Visit the WHA Quality Center Sepsis page for more information. This valuable educational event was sponsored by the WHA Foundation, Inc.
