WHA Foundation Board of Directors Approves New Area of Funding to Support HOSA Wisconsin

In looking to continue their mission of supporting Wisconsin’s health care workforce, the WHA Foundation Board of Directors recently approved an area of funding that will assist in the support of future health care professionals. The New HOSA Chapter Grant Opportunity was created to provide financial support to establish a local HOSA Chapter. This program is designed to increase member access to leadership and health care career and skill development experiences through participation in HOSA-Future Health Professionals in the first year of membership.

Upon receiving an application, the WHA Foundation will contact the local hospital that supports the community that the school is located in. The WHA Foundation will request matching financial support from that hospital. Together, both the WHA Foundation and the local hospital will provide the needed funding in order for a local chapter to be formed. This partnership shows an investment in the future of health care in our state.
