January is Substance Use Disorder Treatment Month
January marks Substance Use Disorder Treatment Month, highlighting the theme “Treatment Works! Find the Path that Works for You.” The campaign promotes the reality that recovery is possible with the right support. A new Treatment Month toolkit is available to help individuals with lived experience, caregivers and providers share messages that raise awareness and guide people toward treatment and recovery resources.
The Wisconsin Hospital Association, in partnership with UW Health PROTEA, supports clinicians statewide by strengthening their skills and confidence in treating patients with substance use disorders. Through funding from the Wisconsin Partnership Program, this collaboration provides clinicians with the tools, training and evidence-based resources needed to deliver high quality, compassionate care to those experiencing addiction. To learn more, visit WHA - Behavioral Health & Addiction.
