West Central Region Holds Annual Dinner Meeting in Eau Claire
On Aug. 15, hospital leaders and board of director members from the west central region of the state gathered in Eau Claire for their annual dinner meeting. Top on the agenda was a presentation by WHA Premier Partner M3 Insurance. M3 representatives Kristin Schmidt and Katie Ott led the presentation titled Improving the Employee Experience with Benefits and Technology. In their presentation, Schmidt and Ott talked about ways hospital employers can better attract and retain the workforce of today. Some of these strategies include non-traditional benefit strategies, innovative technology tools and WHA/M3 partnership opportunities.

WHA Senior Vice President of Workforce and Clinical Practice Ann Zenk gave an update on the health care workforce. She shared insights into the areas that continue to struggle with recruitment. In addition, she reminded the group of the WHA resources available to them, including her work to assist with the expediting of clinical licensure.
The meeting ended with West Central Region Chair Deb Rudquist, Amery Hospital & Clinic CEO, leading a group discussion on current hot topics, successes and challenges.
