WHA Members Announce Behavioral Health Expansions
SSM Health opening outpatient day stabilization unit
SSM Health Ripon Community Hospital held a ribbon cutting this week for a new mental health outpatient day stabilization services unit that will provide assistance, services and support for up to 23 hours for individuals experiencing mental health crises. This will be the first SSM Health facility, both regionally and systemwide, to offer new mental health outpatient day stabilization services.
The project was supported by a $158,000 grant from a Healthcare Infrastructure Capital Grant Program announced in March 2022 by Gov. Tony Evers.
The new unit is being developed to address the high demand for psychiatry and outpatient mental health services, which often have waitlists of six to eight months or longer. The new day stabilization services unit is set to open later this fall.
Miramont Behavioral Health opening new adolescent treatment unit
Miramont Behavioral Health in Middleton held a community open house this week for its new adolescent treatment unit. The adolescent treatment unit is anticipated to open Oct. 7.
Miramont shared that since its opening in August 2021, 800 patients have been treated, including inpatient, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization patients. They anticipate having 7,100 patient treatment days in 2022.
